Resumption of Visa Exemption for the Russian Ordinary Passport Holders applying for Business and Tourist Visas for (30) days

The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar is pleased to announce that the Government of Myanmar has extended the period of visa exemption scheme for the fourth time for one more year for ordinary passport holders of the Russian citizens applying for Business and Tourist Visas for a 30-day period starting from 1st July 2025 to 30th June 2026. The terms and conditions are as follows:

(1) Holders of valid visas (Tourist and Business Visas) are permitted to enter and leave Myanmar by air through the entry/exit points of Yangon, Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw international airports, and are allowed to stay in Myanmar for a 30-day period.
(2) Holders of ordinary passports with a business visa are allowed to extend their stay permit with payable visa fees at the Ministry of Immigration and Population of Myanmar by applying through a partner company together with the recommendation letter of the Ministry concerned, while the stay permit of those with a tourist visa cannot be extended.
(3) All visitors must abide by the existing rules and regulations of Myanmar including the updated health regulations and restrictions issued by the Ministry of Health of Myanmar.
(4) Visitors are allowed to travel to any tourist sites except the restricted areas for security reasons.
(5) The Security and Immigration authorities concerned may deny the entry of those who are not eligible to enter Myanmar.
(6) Those who violate visa regulations will be taken action in accordance with the existing laws.
