Visa on Arrival for the Nationals of the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of India

The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Bangkok is pleased to announce that the trial period of the approval of Visa on Arrival (Tourist Visa) for the Chinese and Indian nationals will be extended for one year for the second time for the period from 30 August 2025 to 29 August 2026.

Lancang-Mekong Visa for Chinese business personnel and their families

The Embassy of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar is pleased to announce that in order to facilitate smooth business operations between Myanmar and China, the Government of Myanmar will issue five-year multiple-entry Lancang-Mekong Visa with a maximum stay of 180 days per visit to eligible Chinese business personnel, as well as their spouses and children with effect from 1 July 2025. The terms and conditions are as follows:
(1) The Chinese Business personnel, their spouses and children who have received at least 2-year multiple entry visa (MJEV) for business and trade activities within five years and have the records of multiple round journey between the two countries are eligible to apply the Lancang-Mekong Visa.
(2) At the time of applying Lancang-Mekong Visa, the passport must have minimum validity of five years.
(3) The application requirements of Lancang-Mekong Visa are similar to those for the multiple-entry business visa.
(4) The applicants shall not be allowed to engage in any type of business, paid or unpaid, other than the business declared on visa application form.
(5) The applicants must present evident documents of business authorization such as valid company registration/ business license, etc. from the respective Ministry.
(6) The applicants must comply with the existing laws, rules and regulations of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.
(7) Violation of any provision of the existing laws, rules and regulations of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar may result in legal action.
(8) Those who are consistent with the specified qualifications can apply Lancang-Mekong Visa and will be issued 5-year multiple-entry
Lancang-Mekong Visa.
(9) The maximum stay of 180 days will be allowed for each visit with the Lancang-Mekong Visa on the reciprocal basis.
(10) Lancang-Mekong Visa fee will be 24,000 Thai Baht.
